Spend a day with a Child - Mandela Day 2015

Unathi Charity Organisation will be hosting the Nelson Madela Day Event on the 18th of July 2015 at the Kliptown Academic Hub, 458 Beacon Road, Kliptown, 1812.

Please come join us in what promises to be a fun filled day, and help make a positive difference in a child's life. Activities on the day will, inter arlia, include:

•  Egg Toss
• Skop die Ball
• Blind packing
• Treasure Hunt

The event will commence at 11h00 until 16h00 - lunch and refreshments will be arranged. The event is free of charge, but we would appreciate it if you could donate any of the followings: food, snacks, reading book, stationary,etc.

Winter Drive 2015

In celebrating Zoleka Mandela's 35th birthday the foundation engaged in a  Donation Drop Off campaign which was a huge success. 

The handover of Clothes, Books and Food items, to various charity organisation including Unathi Charity Organisation, took place at Blairgowrie Tennis Club Court and Clubhouse on the 11th of April 2015.

We thank  Zoleka Mandela Foundation for generously donation which has helped in kick-starting our winter drive.

Back to School Campaign: Kliptown Academic Hub

Students at Kliptown Academic Hub

Nelson Mandela said, "Education is the most powerful weapon that you can use to change the world"

We would love to use that weapon to change Kliptown and offer an alternative to the youngsters in this community.

We humbly request you PLEDGE a minimum of TWO stationary items for this educational centre.

We always encourage our kids to go to school and get good marks but sometimes do not provide the necessary support for them to do well.

Here is an opportunity for you to sow a seed in the form of stationary and we will ensure that we nurture it in order for these kids to bear much academic fruit. 

The items on the stationery list include:

Whiteboard; Whiteboard markers; Flip charts; Rim of paper; Hard cover books; Pens; Pencils; Rulers; Erasers; Crayons; Calculators; Textbooks; Reading books; Story books ; Flip files and Wall Charts; etc

The success of this initiative will ensure its spread to surrounding areas including Soweto and Eldorado, but it all depends on your support!
