Winter Drive 2015

In celebrating Zoleka Mandela's 35th birthday the foundation engaged in a Donation Drop Off campaign which was a huge success.

The handover of Clothes, Books and Food items, to various charity organisation including Unathi Charity Organisation, took place at Blairgowrie Tennis Club Court and Clubhouse on the 11th of April 2015.

We thank Zoleka Mandela Foundation for generously donation which has helped in kick-starting our winter drive.

Proposed Events for 2014

Go back To School Drive (February 02, 2015)

We are planning to distribute uniform and stationary to the identified needy children around Soweto and Kliptown.

Easter Weekend Drive (March - April 2015)

During the month of February through to March we will engage in fund raising drives with the aim of collecting clothes; food; and funds.

Winter Drive (May - July 2015)

Please help us by donating warm clothes and blankets which we intend distributing to to needy though the winter season begining on the 1st of May 2015.

Youth Day Celebrations (June 16, 2015)

The theme is centered around encouraging the youngsters to read, thus we urge you to spread the word as we need to get hold of a much as possible "reading books" which will be distributed on the day.

Christmas Party (29 November 2015)

Venue and the day activities to be announced.

The success of all of the above is highly depended on you and your donations, so please "spread the word and make a difference to a needy child."

Our Vision and Goal

Our vision is based on the following facts:

There are so many orphans, mostly as a result of AIDS related deaths
· There is an alarming rate of unemployment (main contributor to the so ever increasing crime rate)
· There is a surge in a number of rape victims from all ages, especially young children

Main Goals of the Organisation

To offer assistance interms of providing sustainable and necessary aid such as food, clothes and on occasion assist in the running of orphanages thus providing relief to the care givers. Main beneficiaries being:
struggling orphanages and
struggling families

Mandela Day (18 July 2010)

UNATHI & Friends visited Litha Place of Safety to celebrate our great leader day with the little ones. The day was a great success as we left behind great memories and a lot of smilling faces. We thank you once again for your support...

Christmas Party (12 Dec 2009)

UNATHI hosted g a Christmas party for the Orphans from Litha Place of Safety (aged between 3 and 16), on 12 December 2009 at Thokoza Park Soweto. The event was a Great Success. The organisation would like to thank all those who gave up their valuable day to come and share it with the kids.
